Blackwelder-Nelson

Gary and Lynn Nelson, St. Kilian, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristina Nelson, to Jeremy Blackwelder, son of Richard and Linda Blackwelder, Canby.

Nelson is a 2005 graduate of Adrian High School and 2009 graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall, with a degree in elementary education. She is currently a substitute teacher in Worthington School District 518.

Blackwelder is a 2004 graduate of Canby High School and 2007 graduate of Alexandria Technical College with a degree in law enforcement. He is currently employed as a police officer at the Upper Sioux Police Department near Granite Falls.

They plan an Aug. 21 wedding at St. Kilian Catholic Church, St. Kilian.
