ST. PETER — School districts in southwest Minnesota had a strong showing at the Class A State Speech Tournament Saturday in St. Peter. Londyn Robinson, of Luverne Public Schools, was named the state champion in Discussion.

Great Speeches: Emily Lyons, Adrian, fifth place; Loretta Bartosh, Southwest Star Concept, third place.
Informative Speaking: Laura Lorang, Adrian, fourth place.
Original Oratory: Sameera Nalla, Worthington, seventh place.
Serious Interpretation - Poetry: Molly Bass, Murray County Central, fourth place; Brady Ysker-Giefer, Windom Area, third place.
Serious Interpretation – Prose: Jacob Schneider, Pipestone Area, fourth place.
