I would just like to say congratulations to the area speech team members who medaled at the Minnesota Class A Speech Tournament April 24 in St. Peter. Climbing into a van or school bus all those early Saturday mornings have paid off for you.

Congratulations to Londyn Robinson, Luverne, first place in discussion; Kyle Thoreson and Katie Tim, Springfield, first place in duo interpretation; Dillon Schultz and Cody Henriksen, Springfield, second in duo interpretation; Jeremy Clark, Worthington, fifth place in extemporaneous speaking; Loretta Bartosh, Southwest Star Concept, third in great speeches; Emily Lyons, Adrian, fifth in great speeches; Laura Lorang, Adrian, fourth place in informative speaking; Sameera Nalla, Worthington, seventh place in original oratory; Brady Ysker-Giefer, Windom, third in poetry; Molly Bass, Murray County Central, fourth in poetry; Jacob Schneider, Pipestone, fourth in prose; Dan Beech, Murray County Central, eighth in storytelling and Breanna Spartz, Round Lake-Brewster, sixth in storytelling.

The ability and talent that you have demonstrated at the state meet and throughout the season will serve you well in the years ahead of you.
