Obituary: Elizabeth Obermann

Elizabeth “Betty” Obermann, 82, was born on April 9, 1928, in Marshall, MN, the daughter of Harvey and Ada (Stassen) Gregoire. She attended school in Marshall and then finished her education in Worthington, MN. Betty married Robert “Bob” Obermann on June 21, 1947. She worked at a fitness center, Habicht’s Clothing, and at the high school and the YMCA. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington and was in the choir for a time. Betty loved to bow hunt, go on trips on their motorcycle, fishing, and waterskiing. Betty died on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Crossroads Care Center in Worthington, MN.

Betty is survived by her husband, Robert of Worthington, MN; two sons, Brian Obermann of Worthington, MN, and his sons, Adam (Brianna) of Dayton, MN, and Aaron of Duluth, MN and his son, Hayden, and Bruce (Carol) Obermann of Eden Prairie, MN, and their son, Richard.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Rev. Tom Braun officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Worthington Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington and on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington.
