Food Safety class offered locally

WORTHINGTON — University of Minnesota Extension is offering a two-hour course for food service workers covering the basic requirements for safe food handling.

WORTHINGTON — University of Minnesota Extension is offering a two-hour course for food service workers covering the basic requirements for safe food handling.

Topics covered in the course include: Preventing foodborne illness, food temperature control, personal hygiene, preventing cross contamination, preparing and serving food safely and cleaning and sanitizing.

The course is from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. June 8 in the Farmers Room of the Nobles County Government Center, Worthington.
