Brief: Okoboji expansion continues forward

OKOBOJI, Iowa — The Okoboji Community School Board of Education met in special session on May 6 to approve plans for several Okoboji Elementary School building projects, deciding to include the boiler project in the OES addition bid.

OKOBOJI, Iowa — The Okoboji Community School Board of Education met in special session on May 6 to approve plans for several Okoboji Elementary School building projects, deciding to include the boiler project in the OES addition bid.

On April 21, the board approved a 10-classroom addition to the school in Milford in response to increased enrollment. It will cost an estimated $2.5 million and will be funded by a 1 cent sales tax.

Construction is slated to begin this summer.
