Scheidt, who also hit a double, finished 2-for-5 in the game.
Ryan Swanson earned the victory on the hill for the Cardinals (3-0). He allowed three earned runs while walking none and striking out six in five innings of relief. Nick Ahrens started on the hill and threw the first four innings.
Swanson was also 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, while Justin Saufley was 1-for-4 with a three-run home run.
Jerrad Meinders was 2-for-3, including a home run, and drove in two, while Nate Stoll was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Josh Feller had a triple.
The Cardinals will travel to Pipestone and Luverne on Sunday.

ADRIAN — Jeff Gacke threw seven strong innings and broke a 3-3 tie with a three-run home run in the sixth inning, leading the A’s to a one-run victory.
Gacke allowed four earned runs while walking none and striking out 10 and went 3-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs.
Jordon Kontz earned the save for Adrian (3-0), allowing one run on one hit while striking out three in two innings.
He was also 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles at the plate.
Joe Kruger was was 3-for-4 with a two-run double, while Levi Bullerman had a triple for Adrian, which will host Fairmont on Friday.

JACKSON — Pat Boggess was nearly unhittable in relief as the Jackson Bulls pulled away from a 4-4 tie for the win.
Boggess allowed no runs on three hits while walking three and striking out nine in 6 2-3 innings. He struck out the side in the seventh and eighth innings.
Lon Eichenberger suffered the loss for Heron Lake (1-2), allowing four earned runs while walking three and striking out six in 5 2-3 innings.
Corey Polz was 2-for-5 with a double, home run and two RBIs.
Grant Carlson was 3-for-5 with a pair of runs, two stolen bases and an RBI, while Jason Cook was 4-for-5 with a run, stolen base and an RBI.
Grant Madison also scored three runs for the Bulls, who travel to Pipestone on Sunday.
Ike Rogers was 2-for-5 with a pair of RBIs, while Kirk McBreen was 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Tony Jorgensen was 1-for-3 with a run for HL.
Chad Knutson scored a run while Lucas Knutson walked three times and scored a run.
The Lakers (1-2) will host Windom and Mountain Lake on Sunday.

Schlomann did not allow a hit, while walking one and striking out one in relief of Kirby Johnson.
Johnson threw the first 5 1-3 innings, allowing two earned runs while walking two and striking out three.
Lance Jackson threw the final inning for Windom (1-1).
Charlie Dunnick was 2-for-3 for Windom, which will be at Heron Lake on Sunday. The first pitch is slated for 2 p.m.
