Ron and Kellie Thier, Adrian, announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Thier, to Travis Brown, son of Brian and Brenda Brown, Mapleton, Iowa.

Ron and Kellie Thier, Adrian, announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Thier, to Travis Brown, son of Brian and Brenda Brown, Mapleton, Iowa.

Thier is a 2007 graduate of Adrian High School. She is currently pursuing a degree in dental hygiene at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, S.D.

Brown is a 2006 graduate of Maple Valley and Anthon-Otto High School, Mapleton, and a 2010 graduate of the University South Dakota, Vermillion, with a degree in psychology. He is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in physical therapy.

They plan an Aug. 7 wedding in Adrian.
