WINDOM — A Windom man who was convicted in 2006 for criminal sexual conduct is now wanted for violating the predatory offender registration requirements.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Dustin James Sawatzky late last week.
The complaint states Sawatzky has listed his primary address as a residence on Eighth Street since December, but when an officer was doing compliance checks on predatory offenders, he was unable to locate Sawatzky. A person at the residence allegedly stated Sawatzky had not lived at that address in more than two months.
He pleaded guilty to non-consensual sexual contact in November 2006 and was placed on two years probation, which ended January of 2009. Probation on a driving while impaired charge ended October 2009.
Sawatzky has previous charges that include a variety of alcohol related counts such as driving while impaired, underage drinking and driving, underage consumption and permitting underage consumption.
