Brief: Flag retirement slated for Monday
WORTHINGTON — The local American Legion, Elks Lodge and Boy Scout Troops 121 and 134 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony at 7 p.m. Monday in the east parking lot at Centennial Park.
WORTHINGTON — The local American Legion, Elks Lodge and Boy Scout Troops 121 and 134 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony at 7 p.m. Monday in the east parking lot at Centennial Park.
Soiled and torn flags can be dropped off at the Elks Lodge, 1105 Second Ave., or brought to the park on Monday. People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to the ceremony, which will include readings and the burning of the flags.
