Wind advisory issued

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Nobles, Murray, Rock, Pipestone, Jackson, and Cottonwood counties in southwest Minnesota and Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson and O'Brien counties in Iowa, for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
Winds will increase late this morning and diminish by mid-afternoon.
Southeast winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour are expected. The strongest winds are expected to last approximately an hour before beginning to decrease.
Winds of these magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra precautions. Motorists in high-profile vehicles should be cautious until the winds subside.
