WINDOM —The Windom City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a tax abatement request from New Vision Cooperative for its $1.1 million-plus expansion project.
WINDOM —The Windom City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a tax abatement request from New Vision Cooperative for its $1.1 million-plus expansion project.
The city will abate taxes for just the added valuation of the property when the project is complete. Depending on when and if the second of the project’s two phases is completed, the five-year abatement could save the co-op from $35,000 to $39,000.
The changes are necessary to speed both the grain and feed processes and expand storage and drying facilities.
