Getting a kick out of Outlaw Days

JEFFERS — Get your kickin’ foot ready, because a one-day kickball tournament has been added to this weekend’s Outlaw Days festivities in Jeffers.

JEFFERS — Get your kickin’ foot ready, because a one-day kickball tournament has been added to this weekend’s Outlaw Days festivities in Jeffers. Six area teams will compete in the inaugural competition.

The tourney begins at 4 p.m. today on the Jeffers softball field, followed by a 9 p.m. street dance at the Slipper Inn, sponsored by the Jeffers Fire Department.

Other events are as follows:

Saturday

8 am., citywide rummage sale; pancake breakfast, Senior Citizens Center.

10 a.m., kids’ pedal tractor pull, city park.

1 p.m., Minnesota Outlaw Truck Pull, Jeffers grain elevator.

4 p.m., bean bag tournament, Senior Citizens Center

9 p.m., street dance sponsored by Slipper Inn, Slipper Inn

Sunday

9 a.m., ecumenical church service, at park near Trinity Lutheran Church, rain site in church, followed by pancake feed at Senior Citizens Center.

11 a.m., 3-on-3 basketball tournament and kiddie carnival, both in the city park.

2:30 p.m., three-bar softball tournament, Outlaw Day Field.
