MADISON, Wis. - Federal regulators are planning to take testimony from dairy farmers concerned about eroding profit margins and consolidation in the industry.

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and the Department of Justice's top antitrust investigator were scheduled to be at the daylong hearing today in Madison.

Dairy analyst Pete Hardin says while consumers are paying more for milk and cheese in the store, dairy farmers are getting the same prices now that they did 30 years ago.

U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold says the question dairy farmers want answered is who is getting the money. Feingold was one of several elected officials expected at the hearing.
