New water tower built

The new Lincoln-Pipestone Rural Water tower near Rushmore stands Wednesday afternoon. The top of the 1 million-gallon tower was raised Wednesday morning by approximately one dozen cranes perched at the top of the structure. Each crane was able to lift the tower’s top about eight inches at a time; it took an estimated 2½ to to three hours to complete the process.
