Red Cross seeks more type O blood

WORTHINGTON — Dave Kelley, donor recruitment representative of the American Red Cross Mid-America Blood Services Division, said Wednesday that type O blood is desperately needed.

WORTHINGTON — Dave Kelley, donor recruitment representative of the American Red Cross Mid-America Blood Services Division, said Wednesday that type O blood is desperately needed.

“We are currently 1,500 units under goal for the summer,” he stated. “With July being a popular time for people to take vacations, the supply of blood at the blood center is very low.”

Upcoming blood drives in Nobles County include: Round Lake, 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at the American Legion; Lismore, 2 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at the American Legion; Adrian, 1 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the high school gym; Worthington, 1 to 7 p.m. July 15 and 8 a.m. to noon July 16 at the Worthington Reformed Church.
