HERON LAKE — Matt Franks had eight strikeouts and Ben Scheevel’s RBI single in the eighth-inning induced the 10-run rule as Heron Lake cruised past Minneota 11-1 Sunday night in an amateur baseball matchup.
Franks scattered eight hits in eight innings, and walked just two.
Lon Eichenberger went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs for HL (8-12, 7-11), while Lucas Knutson and Scheevel were each 2-for-5 with an RBI and Ike Rogers (2-for-4) drilled a two-run double.
HL also took advantage of six Mudhen errors.
The Lakers travel to Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. matchup.

HERON LAKE — Spencer scored five early runs and Heron Lake never recovered on Saturday.
The Lakers amounted to just two runs, despite a 4-for-4 effort at the plate by Lucas Knutson — who scored in the first inning off an Ike Rogers hit and cracked an RBI-base hit in the fifth inning.
Chad Knutson took the loss on the mound, giving up five runs on nine hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

Adrian 9, Tracy 4
TRACY — Jordon Kontz went the distance, and Adrian pounded out 13 hits to beat Tracy in seven innings.
Kontz earned the win on the mound in a complete-game effort in which he struck out six and walked two.
His only trouble came in the bottom of the fifth, when Tracy’s Jason Mackinnon had a three-run single that bounced off the top of the outfield fence.
Mackinnon went down as he rounded first and had to leave the game with an injury.
Adrian’s Jason Stubbe went 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Jeff Gacke and Glen Kruger were each 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
Cody Kontz (2-for-4) and Levi Bullerman (1-for-3) also knocked in runs for the A’s (14-11).
Adrian hosts Milroy on Wednesday.

Hadley 4, Jackson 3
HADLEY — Luke Beers launched two home runs to lift Hadley over Jackson in seven innings.
The Bulls threatened late, but Luke Schneider held on for all seven frames, allowing three runs on six hits with five strikeouts for the Buttermakers (12-12).
Beers went yard twice, with a two-run shot in the third inning and a solo blast in the fifth.
Zach Bruns and Taylor Rignell each doubled for Hadley.
Jackson was led by Jason DeWall and Caleb Rossow, who each had RBIs.
Hadley travels tonight to face Wilmont.

HADLEY — James Wajer did damage with his arm and his bat to help carry Hadley past Sacred Heart.
Wajer went the distance, gave up four runs on seven hits and struck out eight.
He also went 2-for-3 with a trio of RBIs.
Derek Platt was 3-for-3 with three runs and Luke Schneider (2-for-4) had three RBIs for Hadley, which put up a five-spot in the second inning.
