PEBC to host flower press workshop

LAKEFIELD — The Prairie Ecology Bus Center will host a “Beyond the Garden – Flower Press Workshop” from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 7, at the PEBC headquarters, 935 N. Hwy. 86, Lakefield.

Pressing flowers for art is an ages-old tradition still used today. Join PEBC staff to learn the art of flower preserving and pressing and construct a wood plant press to take home. Participants will explore their artistic talents as they create their own artwork using pre-pressed flowers to get started. Pre-registration is required and the sign-up deadline is Aug. 1.
