Franken’s staff to meet with seniors
WORTHINGTON — Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) staff members will meet with area seniors about the challenges they face in retirement years, from home foreclosure to health care.

Al Franken said he knew Minnesotans would be skeptical of his Senate candidacy, but said he has worked to convince them he is “deadly serious” about issues important to them.
WORTHINGTON — Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) staff members will meet with area seniors about the challenges they face in retirement years, from home foreclosure to health care.
The staff will meet with seniors at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Nobles County Government Center, 315 10th St., and at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Marshall City Hall, 344 West Main St.
Franken said the meetings will allow his office to hear from Minnesota seniors about what is working and what needs to be changes to allow Minnesota seniors to thrive in the retirement years.
