AgStar Fund awards county fair grants

MANKATO — The AgStar Fund for Rural America, the corporate giving program of AgStar Financial Services, has awarded $60,000 in grants from its County Fair Facility Upgrade Grant Program. This year AgStar awarded grants up to $2,500 to fund 26 county fairs in AgStar’s local service area. Locally, grants were awarded to Cottonwood, Jackson, Pipestone and Rock counties.

The program’s mission is to support rural areas by funding county fair organizations as they maintain or upgrade fairground livestock buildings and judging arenas.

Since its inception in 2001, the AgStar Fund has donated more than $2.9 million to organizations working to improve the future of rural America.
