Food certification, renewal course set
MARSHALL — University of Minnesota Extension will offer courses to help food service establishments meet the educational requirement for Certified Food Managers.
MARSHALL — University of Minnesota Extension will offer courses to help food service establishments meet the educational requirement for Certified Food Managers.
ServSafe, will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 17 at the SW/WC Service Cooperatives in Marshall.
Participants must attend the entire session to be eligible to take the certification exam at 4:30 p.m.
This course includes information about safe food preparation, handling, sanitation and prevention of foodborne illnesses.
Registration is required by Aug. 3.
Serve It Up Safely is a renewal course for certified managers. Certified Food Managers need four hours of continuing education credits within three years of becoming certified.
The course will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 16 at the SW/WC Service Cooperatives, Marshall. Registration is due Aug. 2.
