Accident

GEORGE, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at 11:36 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Larch Avenue and 220th Street. Dustin Gust, 30, of Sibley, Iowa, was driving a 1992 Ford Taurus eastbound on 220th Street when he reportedly ran a stop sign and broadsided a southbound 2002 Ford F-150 driven by Logan Ringquist, 18, of Little Rock, Iowa. The pickup then rolled onto its top in the ditch. Both vehicles were totaled. Gust was cited for failure to obey a stop sign, and Ringquist was arrested for driving while revoked. Ringquist was treated and released for minor injuries at Sanford Hospital, Rock Rapids, Iowa.
