WORTHINGTON — The inaugural Cruisin’ Downtown Worthington event will take place Aug. 17.

Worthington’s 10th Street will be blocked off and classic cars, antique tractors and vintage motorcycles will fill the street. Members of the Worthington Fire Department will bring a fire truck and hand out fire prevention materials to children. Food will be available indoors and outdoors from the numerous restaurants along 10th Street.

Businesses will have back-to-school sales, and the Downtown Worthington Farmers’ Market will be open from 4 to 7 p.m.

People who would like to bring a classic car, motorcycle or antique tractor to town from 5 to 7 p.m. should call the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce at 372-2919 to reserve a spot by Aug. 10. Space is limited.
