SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southern Dickinson County, Iowa, set to expire at 9 p.m.
At 8:28 p.m., meteorologists were tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour. These storms were located along a line extending from Milford to Spencer to Linn Grove and moving east at 25 miles per hour. The severe thunderstorms will be near Webb around 8:50 p.m. and Terril around 8:55 p.m. Gillett Grove and Dickens will also be impacted by the storms.
Severe thunderstorms produce damaging wind in excess of 60 miles per hour, destructive hail, deadly lightning and very heavy rain. People in the area should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Heavy rain can flood roads quickly, and drivers should not drive into areas where water covers the road.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch, to be in effect until 10 p.m. tonight (Sunday) for the following counties:
In Iowa: Lyon, O'Brien, Osceola, and Dickinson, as well as Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Ida, Plymouth, Sioux and Woodbury.
In Minnesota: Cottonwood, Jackson, Murray, Nobles and Rock.
In South Dakota: Bon Homme, Clay, Douglas, Hutchinson, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, Turner, Union, Yankton, Charles Mix and Gregory.
