LUVERNE — The Minnesota State Patrol and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a single-vehicle accident with a non-life-threatening injury at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 90 just west of Luverne. Mohammed Omar, 27, of Sioux Falls, S.D., was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Impala east on Interstate 90 when he ran off the road through the median and into the ditch on the westbound side. Omar received non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Sanford Hospital Luverne.
TROSKY — The Minnesota State Patrol and the Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a two-vehicle collision with an injury at 11:42 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 75 north of Trosky. Wilma Vogel, 60, of Hull, Iowa, was driving a 2002 Buick Century southbound on U.S. 75, with Norma Vogel, 62, also of Hull, as a passenger. Nicole Harberts, 22, of Luverne, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala, with Jessica Bayne, 22, of Sioux Falls, S.D., as a passenger. Harberts crossed the center line and struck the Century. Harberts and Bayne were treated and released. The Vogels’ condition was not documented.
