Letter: Privatization isn't always the answer

Alas. I see in the news from Farmfest candidates echoing Tea Party cries of “socialism.”
Would those candidates sell out our REA units like our Meeker County Co-op REA? They are socialistic.
Would they sell our Farmers Co-ops like 1st District Association in Litchfield and like units elsewhere? It’s as socialistic as Cenex and other co-ops.
They want to “privatize” the Postal Service and operate only the bigger, profitable routes like city routes — forget the rural routes.
It wasn’t private utilities that brought electricity to rural America.
