Lake Avenue work begins Monday

WORTHINGTON — Pavement work on Lake Avenue from Shell Street through Winifred Street is scheduled, weather permitting, to begin Monday.

Lake Avenue from Tower Street to Eighth Street will be closed to through traffic. A detour route of Lake Avenue utilizing Seventh Avenue, Ninth Street and Ninth Avenue will be signed. Winifred Street from Ninth Avenue to Lake Avenue will also be closed to through traffic.

Local access on Lake Avenue and Winifred Street will be available up to the construction zone.

Restricted home and driveway access on Lake Avenue will be available within the work area as construction permits.

Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, Lake Avenue and Winifred Street traffic should be restored to normal in about in about three weeks.
