Funeral services for 78 year old Rosemary Raymo were held at 10:00 Aug. 23 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Father Brian Oestreich officiated at the service. Special music was provided by Bette Wallman, pianist and singers John Wallman, Sisters Annette Fernholz, Kay Fernholz and Janel Crumb. The Honor Group was Rosemary’s Bible Study Group. Active Casket Bearers included Rosemary’s grandchildren: Joshua Raymo, Jermiah Raymo, Brandon Raymo, Brianna Raymo, Tiffany Neugebauer, Nicholas Raymo, Ashley Johnson, Aaron Buer, Justin Buer, Megan Raymo, Marissa Raymo, Alyson Raymo, Ryan Pfeiffer, Travis Wark and Amy Wickman. Concluding services were in the St. Michael’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
Rosemary Kathryn (Bungarden) Raymo was born October 10,1931 at Naeve Hospital, Albert Lea, MN to Raymond and Dorothy Bungarden.
She was baptized and confirmed at All Saint's Catholic Church , New Richland, MN. She attended rural school near New Richland and graduated from New Richland High School in 1949. She then worked for Northwestern Bell as a telephone operator in Waseca, MN.
She married Carrell L. Raymo on January 29,1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waseca, MN. To this union five children were born. After Carrell served in the Army in Korea, they lived briefly in Fort Lee, VA. Upon returning to Minnesota they settled in Mankato, MN where Rosemary worked for IDS as a secretary. In 1960 they moved to New Ulm, MN where her husband and two brothers started a foundry. In 1970 they moved the foundry operation to Madison, MN.
Rosemary was active in her family's lives and always added a little special touch to show how much she cared. She made many a beautiful cake or pan of brownies for special occasions. She loved planning and pulling pranks on April Fool's Day.
She participated in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was a CCD teacher for many years. She held numerous offices in the St. Michael's Altar Society, St. Michael's School and was a leader for the St. Michael's Youth Group. She served as a lector in church. She also held offices in the Madison Senior Citizens group and Madison Health Care Auxiliary. She worked with MCCL, led a Renew group through church and participated in a Bible Study where she made many dear friends. She assisted with her mother's care at the Madison Lutheran Home for many years. She loved attending her children and grandchildren's functions particularly sports. With her love of sports and her loud cheering you could always tell when "Grandma Raymo is here".
She is preceded in death by her husband Carrell, her parents, her sister Carole Jean Schubbe, brother Jack Bungarden and sister-in-law Charlotte Bungarden.
She is survived by her five children: Paul (Roxie) Raymo, Greg (Barb) Raymo, Rebecca (Jim) McKeag, James (Julie) Raymo and Susan (James) Myles, 12 grandchildren: Joshua (Kristine) Raymo, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Raymo, Brandon (Katie) Raymo, Brianna Raymo, Tiffany (Dustin) Neugebauer, Nicholas (Tasha) Raymo, Ashley (JT) Johnson, Aaron Buer, Justin (Lisa) Buer, Megan Raymo, Marissa Raymo, and Alyson Raymo; 3 step-grandchildren Ryan Pfeiffer, Travis (Julie) Wark, and Amy (Corey) Wickham; 9 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren, one brother Cletus Bungarden, sister Sharon (Bill) Wolfe, sisters-in-law Jean Bungarden Darlene Larson, brother-in-law Mike (Stephanie)Raymo and many nieces and nephews.
She entered her heavenly home on August 19, 2010. She had reached the age of 78 years.
