WORTHINGTON — Four community members have filed for three vacant seats on the District 518 Board of Education.

All the positions are four-year terms beginning in January of 2011.

Current members Lori Dudley and Mark Shepherd filed for re-election, and board member Bob Jirele’s seat is also open this year.

Betty McAllister and Scott Rosenberg have also filed.

“I just always enjoyed what I did, and I think education is really important, so I thought it might be an area where I could make some contributions,” said McAllister, who worked in the district for 19 years.
