Service: George Berning

George Berning, 86, of Luverne, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at the Mary Jane Brown Home, Luverne.

Surviving is his wife, Doris Berning, Luverne; three brothers, Alvin (Gert) Berning, Adrian, Ed (Dolores) Berning, Adrian, and Jim (Rita) Berning, Owatonna; and a sister, Marie Smeins.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, Luverne, with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Luverne.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, with the Revs. Thomas Jennings and Jim Berning officiating. Burial will be in the St. Catherine Cemetery, Luverne.
