Accidents WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a two-vehicle accident involving a squad car at 8:49 a.m. Wednesday at U.S. 59 and Interstate 90.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a two-vehicle accident involving a squad car at 8:49 a.m. Wednesday at U.S. 59 and Interstate 90.

ELLSWORTH — The Minnesota State Patrol, assisted by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, investigated a one-vehicle rollover at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday on Minnesota 91, two miles north of Ellsworth. Andrea K. Zirbel, 26, of Ellsworth, was driving a 2002 Ford pickup truck when she overcorrected after hitting the southbound shoulder and the vehicle skidded sideways into the east ditch and rolled into a cornfield. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The Ellsworth Rescue Squad and Adrian Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. She as transported to Sanford Medical Center Worthington, where she was treated and released.

SLAYTON — The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a rear-end accident at 8 a.m. Wednesday on Minnesota 30, ½ mile west of Slayton. Sharon K. Schaap, 66, of Hadley, was driving a 2005 Ford Freestyle that sustained minor damage. Nora N. Sanchez, 40, of Lake Wilson, was driving a 2008 Kia Rio that sustained moderate damage. Alexis N. Myers, 18, of Lake Wilson, was driving a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser that sustained moderate damage. Sanchez was treated and released at the Murray County Medical Center, Slayton.

Ambulance

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched at 10:43 a.m. Wednesday to 1017 Sherwood St. to assist a male having breathing problems. He was transported to Sanford Medical Center Worthington.

Fire

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Fire Department was dispatched to a car fire at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Fire Department was dispatched at 10:26 p.m. Tuesday to help with a gas leak from a recreational vehicle in a parking lot.

BREWSTER — The Brewster Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire at 8:49 a.m. Wednesday at the Interstate 90 ramp at Brewster.

Police

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated the theft of an air compressor reported at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday from the 1000 block of Paulson Avenue.
