ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — The St. Cloud Regional Airport is losing its federal security equipment, despite attempts to attract another airline.
The Transportation Security Administration notified the airport that the equipment will be removed sometime in the next two months.
The airport has been without air service since January when Delta Airlines pulled out. The city has been trying to attract a new carrier.
The St. Cloud Times reports the city has started a pledge drive to raise money to attract an airline.
Federal law requires the Transportation Security Administration to provide security equipment for commercial service.
