Worthington Area Foundation accepting applications

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Area Foundation is now accepting applications for grants.

The Worthington Area Foundation is a tax-exempt, non-profit philanthropic organization funded by large and small donations from contributors. Foundation grants are made to non-profit, non-religious and non-political groups.

An eligible organization should promote local culture, environmental causes, educational, recreational and civic activities essential to building and strengthening the community. Organizations must have a 501c3 tax status to be eligible.

Grant applications may be picked up at the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce office, 1121 Third Ave. The deadline for returning the applications is Oct. 20.
