Wind advisory issued for southwest Minnesota, northwest Iowa

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa.

For Murray, Cottonwood, Nobles, Jackson, Pipestone and Rock counties in Minnesota, the advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

For Dickinson, O'Brien, Osceola and Lyon counties in Iowa, the advisory will be in effect until 8 p.m. today.

Southerly winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour, with gusts to 40 miles per hour, will occur.
