Area damage assessments today, Thursday
ST. PAUL — State and federal teams are in southern Minnesota conducting preliminary damage assessments (PDAs) following devastating floods late last week.
ST. PAUL — State and federal teams are in southern Minnesota conducting preliminary damage assessments (PDAs) following devastating floods late last week.
Several teams begin PDAs for public assistance today. Public assistance teams are looking at damage to public infrastructure. The schedule for today includes:
l Cottonwood County, 9 a.m.
l Pipestone County, 9 a.m.
l Jackson County, 2 p.m.
Thursday’s itinerary includes:
l Murray County, 9 a.m.
l Nobles County, 9 a.m.
l Rock County, 2 p.m.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty on Friday directed Homeland Security and Emergency Management to request FEMA conduct damage assessments in 35 Minnesota counties.
