Letter: Appreciation expressed for Honor Flight trip

This past weekend (Oct. 1-2), I had the privilege and honor of accompanying World War II veterans on the second Southwest Minnesota Honor Flight. As a veteran myself, it gave me a new understanding and appreciation of what these men did for us.

These words describe the experience of the trip and meeting them: Awesome, awesome, awesome!

The send-off they got and the greetings at the airports were incredible. The tears were many, but they were tears of joy and respect.

Thank you, veterans and the Southwest Minnesota Honor Flight committee, for picking me and allowing me this great opportunity. Thank you, committee, for all your hard work in organizing this trip. It was awesome!
