Letter: Honor Flight experience deserving of thanks

I am taking this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved with the very well organized Minnesota Honor Flight program.

I was very impressed with each of our tour stops and overnight accommodations. I was super impressed with the boys and girls of Cub Scout age who, along with their leaders, formed lines to greet each of us with, “Thank you for our freedom by serving our country in time of war” at most tour sites. These young people have been well educated by their parents and teachers. Some even had handwritten notes and cards that they handed to each of us to take to our homes.

Of course, we can’t overlook the mature ladies that hugged and kissed us at one stop. That doesn’t happen too often to us “oldies.” It was a wonderful trip.
