Author speaks today at WHS

WORTHINGTON — Minnesota author Loretta Ellsworth will speak at 1:30 p.m. today in the media center at the Worthington High School.

WORTHINGTON — Minnesota author Loretta Ellsworth will speak at 1:30 p.m. today in the media center at the Worthington High School.

This event is sponsored by the Nobles County Library and the PSP Teen Co-op.

Ellsworth earned a master’s degree in writing for children from Hamline University. She’s the author of “The Shrouding Woman,” a Rebecca Caudill Young Readers Book Awardnominee; and “In Search of Mockingbird,” which won the Midwest Bookseller’s Choice Honor Award, was a Teen’s Top 10 finalist, an IRA Notable and was named to the New York Library’s List of Books for the Teen Age.

Her most recent book is “In a Heartbeat.”

A former Spanish teacher, Ellsworth lives with her family in Minnesota.
