Area folks elected to SMAHC board

MARSHALL— The following area people have been elected to fill vacant board terms for the Southwest Minnesota Arts and Humanities Council:
Marilee Strom, Windom, was elected to fill a vacancy on the board for Cottonwood County. Strom has taught art in grades K-12. Her term ends December of 1212.
Kelly Muldoon, Slayton, was elected to fill a vacancy on the board for Murray County. Muldoon has been a Prairie Music Association board member for 18 years and a board member of the Prairie Oasis Players since its inception. She helped start the Slayton Friends of the Library and is the co-founder of the Prairie Hens Book Club. Her term ends December of 2011.
SMAHC is the designated regional arts council for 18 counties in southwestern Minnesota.
