WORTHINGTON — The Board of Directors of Nobles Cooperative Electric (NCE), authorized the pay-ment of $500,000 in capital credits to its members.

The payment happens through capital credits. Capital credits are the difference between NCE’s operating costs and revenues.

Since NCE is a non-profit cooperative, any revenues available after expenses are returned to the member-owners.

Members of NCE who received service during 1989, 1990, 1991 and 2009, found a credit on the electric bill they received on Nov. 1.

On Nov. 12, capital credit checks were mailed to approximately 1,500 former cooperative members, along with current members receiving more than $500 in capital credits.

NCE thanks its members for their patronage. The cooperative looks forward to continuing to serve the electrical needs of our members through our cooperative enterprise.

Nobles Cooperative Electric is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative serving more than 4,900 accounts in Murray and Nobles counties.
