Slumberland Furniture of Worthington, in partnership with Catholic Charities, contributed 26 sets of bedding to people in need through the company’s annual Making Homes for the Holidays promotion. Worthington’s Slumberland has participated in the program for eight years, giving eight sets of bedding the first year. Many of the recipients are children, co-store owner Ben Petersen said, and “for many, this is probably the first time they’ve slept in a bed.” Bedding was delivered primarily in Nobles County, as well to the Slayton and Sibley, Iowa, areas. Blankets were also donated by St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Worthington. Pictured are, front (from left), the Rev.
