Emily Joan Thier and Travis Andrew Brown were married Aug. 7 at St. Adrian Catholic Church, Adrian, with the Rev. Scott Traynor officiating.
Parents of the couple are Ron and Kellie Thier, Adrian, and Brian and Brenda Brown, Mapleton, Iowa.
Maids of honor were Erica Thier, Elissa Thier and Elizabeth Thier. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Brown, Jana Balster, Erica Kunzweiler and Steffany Treiber. Flower girls were Ava Jo Brown and Kaedyn Bullerman. Personal attendant was Amanda Soehl.
Best man was Derek Brown. Groomsmen were Tyler Buckman, Alex Flanigan, Mitch Seitzinger, Tyler Tycz, Colby Kuchta and Austin Bettin. Ring bearer was Carter Brown. Ushers were Joey Bullerman, James Brouillette and Cody Forch.
The reception and dance were at Sharkee’s, Luverne, with Randy and Lisa Strand and Brad and Sheri Brown hosting.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Adrian High School. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and the dental field at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Maple Valley Anthon Otto High School, Mapleton, and 2010 graduate of the University of South Dakota with a degree in psychology. He is pursuing a doctorate degree in physical therapy.
Following a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, they live in Vermillion.
