Food safety courses offered

MARSHALL — University of Minnesota Extension will offer two courses to help food service establishments meet the educational requirement for Certified Food Managers.

MARSHALL — University of Minnesota Extension will offer two courses to help food service establishments meet the educational requirement for Certified Food Managers.

ServSafe will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Feb. 2, at the SW/WC Service Cooperatives in Marshall. Participants must attend the entire session to be eligible to take the certification exam at 4:30 p.m. This seven-hour course includes information about safe food preparation, handling, sanitation and prevention of foodborne illnesses. Registration is required by Jan. 19.

Serve It Up Safely is a four-hour renewal course for certified managers. The course will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 1, at the SW/WC Service Cooperatives, Marshall. Registration is due by Jan. 18.
