Female in custody after alleged stabbing Tuesday

WORTHINGTON — A 27-year old female is in custody after authorities Tuesday responded to a report of an alleged stabbing incident at 7:18 a.m. in the 300 block of West Oxford Street, according to information released by the Worthington Police Department.

WORTHINGTON — A 27-year old female is in custody after authorities Tuesday responded to a report of an alleged stabbing incident at 7:18 a.m. in the 300 block of West Oxford Street, according to information released by the Worthington Police Department.

Upon arrival at the scene, the Worthington Police Department, assisted by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, located a 31-year-old Worthington male who had apparent stab wounds. The victim was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center by ambulance. He allegedly told officer he had been stabbed by a female who had then fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.

At approximately 8:11 a.m., the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Worthington Police Department, located the female suspect at a residence in the 400 block of South Street in Rushmore.

The incident remains under investigation.
