Culture Corner features Karen on Tuesday

WORTHINGTON — A Culture Corner presentation on the Karen people will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Commons at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Worthington campus.

WORTHINGTON — A Culture Corner presentation on the Karen people will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Commons at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Worthington campus.

The presentation will be made by Karen refugees who live in the Worthington area. Topics will include the Karen culture; refugee and immigration experiences; a musical presentation; an explanation of traditional clothing and a weaving demonstration. The event is free and open to the public.
