Community grants awarded in Luverne
LUVERNE — The Luverne Area Community Foundation (LACF) has awarded several grants during its latest round of funding.

Among the recipients of health care grants are ARC of Minnesota, Southwest, $1,500 for People First Ally, to advocate and support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families; the Luverne BackPack Program, $2,000 for the Summer Food Service Program; Luverne Public Schools, $2,500 for a flu shot clinic; Luverne Public Schools, $2,050 for a tympanometer for hearing screening; Sanford Luverne Clinic, $10,000 for CPR Resusci training materials and mannequins; and Hills-Beaver Creek Public Schools, $691 for a flu shot clinic.
General Fund grants were awarded to the Luverne Eagles Club 3403, $2,500 for a commercial refrigerator, additional steak plates and silverware used in fundraising events; and the city of Luverne, $1,000 for a lit fountain and aeration system for the Veteran’s pond.
