PREP GOLF: Chargers continue winning ways in quad

WESTBROOK — Two days after winning the Red Rock Conference golf meet, the Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys’ team was winning again.

WESTBROOK — Two days after winning the Red Rock Conference golf meet, the Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys’ team was winning again.

The Chargers finished with a low round of 158 in Thursday’s quadangular at Rolling Hills Golf Course.

Southwestern United carded a 185, while Lakeview had a 199. Mountain Lake Christian had a 208.

Taylor Lindaman shot an even-par round of 36 to earn medalist honors for W-WG.

Dana Madson had a 40, while Jared Lindaman and Aaron Theisen each finished with a 41 for the Chargers.

Kyle Wendland carded a 43 to lead Southwestern United, while Clay Salzwedel fired a 46.

Aurelio Boerlin shot a 47 and Logan Ellenbecker had a 48 to round out the scoring for the Wildcats.

Aaron Walzak had a 40 to lead Mountain Lake Christian, while Micah Bargen had a 48. Tyler Dick finished with a 59, Mitchell Hirsch rounded out the scoring with a 61.

The golfers will next compete at the sub-section meet Wednesday at Worthington Country Club.
