Letter: Montessori school alive and well

The article in the May 20 paper on the retirement of Sally Anne Benson from Montessori was wonderful to see. Her contribution to the lives of young children is priceless, and I am happy to see that recognized.

As a parent of a Montessori student, I felt the article left the impression that the school was closing upon her retirement. I have heard this sentiment earlier in the community. I would like other parents of preschoolers to know that this is not true.

The Montessori preschool program is accepting enrollments for next school year. Parents of children from 33 months through age 5 are encouraged to contact Sam Becker, Board President at sam.g.becker@gmail.com for information on enrollment. We will hold an open house in early June to take enrollments and introduce the community to our new directress, Leann Enninga.
