Letter: Honor Flight was a wonderful trip

I was privileged to be on the last Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., as a veteran of World War II. We visited many memorials and many other points of interest. Our thoughts were especially with all the veterans who did not return from all the conflicts, but it made us realize how lucky and God-blessed we were to be among those who did.
I want to publicly thank everyone who contributed to this trip — both businesses and individuals. The guardians and other helpers who accompanied us met all our needs. It is a big job looking after more than 100 “old men”!
Many thanks, especially to the personnel from the Daily Globe, for all the photography. It will be a nice keepsake for my family and me.
