QuickBooks courses offered in Luverne

LUVERNE — A pair of QuickBooks courses— one an introductory-level, the other an intermediate-level — will be offered July 19 and July 26-27, respectively, at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Luverne center.

LUVERNE — A pair of QuickBooks courses— one an introductory-level, the other an intermediate-level — will be offered July 19 and July 26-27, respectively, at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Luverne center.

All of the courses will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Luverne site, 311 N. Spring St., Room 103.

The instructor is Jerry Bauer, a certified QuickBooks Pro advisor.

Topics for the introductory-level course include getting started and getting around, terminology, working with lists, features, procedures and workflow.

The July 26-27 intermediate-level class will also be taught by Bauer.

The course will cover invoicing, billing, paying vendors, job costing, deposits, paying payroll and liabilities, setting up sales tax, setting up inventory, customizing forms and writing QuickBooks letters.

Registration deadline for the intermediate-level course is July 22, and can also be done online. There is a fee.

The courses are being sponsored by the city of Luverne, the Luverne Area Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota West Community and Technical College and the Minnesota Small Business Development Centers.
